Mike Loeffler, a 12 year veteran of VTI, serves as VTI's Purchasing Manager. He is responsible for the purchasing of all production materials and equipment, maintenance, repair, and operating supplies, facilities supplies and equipment, as well as inventory control of in house materials.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Purchasing and Materials Management from Florida State University, and although a 30 year native of Florida, he has enjoyed calling East Tennessee home for the last 15 years.
He has over 23 years of experience in the Procurement field, ranging from production materials and equipment to sevice contracting. He has held various titles within the Purchasing field, ranging from defense contracting to private industry.
Mike's versatility and resourcefulness lend themselves well to VTI's unique product lines and fast paced environment. Managing costs in an industry in which "one of kind" machine building is commonplace, is a challenge Mike welcomes. He also serves in a Project Manager capacity for specific key VTI customers.
He also credits long term supplier relationships and development for a big part of VTI's long term growth and success.
