A2LA Accreditation
What is A2LA?
Established in 1978 as a non-profit, public service, membership society, A2LA is dedicated to the formal recognition of competent testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers. A2LA accreditation is widely recognized throughout the U.S and the world. For more information on A2LA, see http://www.a2la2.net
Why has VTI sought A2LA accreditation?
VTI maintains A2LA-accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 as a service to our customers. Accreditation carries to the customer the knowledge that A2LA has thoroughly reviewed VTI's Quality Assurance Program as well as the technical proficiency of VTI's Calibration Lab and found both to meet all the criteria of ISO/IEC 17025, in some cases saving the customer the time and expense of an on-site audit at VTI. The accreditation and renewal processes are proof-positive of VTI's storied dedication to accuracy and integrity in the calibration business.
