Sample Inlet System

Correct design and control of the sample system is fundamental to the overall DISCOVERY capability.

Sample gas is taken via a two stage, fractionation free manifold that ensures the most accurate analysis of both high and low molecular weight gases.

Background levels are correctly managed with the sample system running in a temperature stabilized heated enclosure set at 150°C.

Response time is minimized by proper selection of flow parameters such as pumping speeds, restriction sizes and volumes. This allows the instrument to be coupled to the outlet of various analytical systems (TGA, DTA, DSC, GC etc) directly.

Optionally, a multiple inlet version can be ordered to allow for sampling of many gas streams for special applications.
