Philosophy

VTI has long been established as one of the worlds leading suppliers of Calibrated Leaks, Leak Test Systems and Gas Analysis Systems, a reputation founded significantly on the "Real World Approach" VTI adopts to system design, manufacture and support thereafter. This philosophy makes itself abundantly clear in the DISCOVERY Gas Analysis system.

The 'Real World' concerns itself not with the best possible specification that can be achieved with meticulous care and attention, but with how the system performs on a day-in-day-out basis. Factors such as sensitivity, stability, response time, simplicity of operation, reliability of result and maintainability are all as critical as the ultimate level of detection.

VTI addresses these needs with four fundamental system building blocks:

  1. Mass Spectrometer - the AERO VAC ODYSSEY is used as the gas sensor.
  2. Vacuum System - built to UHV standards for minimized background conditions.
  3. Sample Inlet System - balanced and heated for low sample fractionation and stable operation.
  4. Gas Analysis Software - essential in offering all steps necessary for sample analysis including background and calibration routines
