Selecting this icon opens up a window on the right of the main display. A minimum of three masses must be selected (simply by double clicking) and identified before the system will automatically compute the mass scale for the whole instrument range.
In this way it is possible to change magnets (different field strength) and there-by change the mass range of the instrument. All without breaking vacuum!
Try that with a Quadrupole!
