In this mode, the raw data (as viewed in Analog Mode) is processed to accurately determine the maximum signal intensity (Peak Center) for each mass being scanned. This data is then plotted in a Histogram form as shown left.
Histogram mode displays data in a clear format with all peaks presented as equally spaced bars. This is the perfect presentation from which to read the 'finger-print' spectra that are used to characterize various chemical compounds. These 'finger-prints' are very helpful for analysis purposes.
Histogram is a powerful mode to use for analytical operations.
