Multi-Head Operation Overview
The Encounter software package fully supports the operation of up to eight AERO VAC Odyssey instruments, either across an ethernet or via an RS232 serial port, from a single PC.
Multiple windows can be opened with each AERO VAC Odyssey unit presenting data in an independent format. The absolute flexibility of the environment allows systems to be running independently of the display - long term trends may be being acquired in minimized windows while the user examines the detail of results on a full screen display.
The user may also be situated remotely from instrumentation in a plant or facility control room for example.
