Anne moved to Oak Ridge in 1987 upon receiving a Master’s Degree in Accounting from East Tennessee State University. After passing the CPA exam in 1988 and working as a free lance accountant for several small startup businesses in Oak Ridge, Anne brought her experience to VTI early in the history of the company. Preparing the 1989 financial statements for audit was one of her first tasks. As the company grew and prospered, Anne began devoting more and eventually all of her working time to VTI. With her watchful eye, she runs a tight ship and has been instrumental in keeping VTI financially sound.
In addition to directing the accounting department, she serves in various other capacities. Today with 25 years of dedication to VTI, she is routinely called upon to lend guidance in many different areas of the company. She makes sure that VTI is in compliance with changing government regulations, and, in the course of a day, she may balance the books, lecture on safety, assist customers, and translate technical information for VTI’s clerical staff.
